Relationship Enhancement
Dr. Cochrane has worked with couples for
27 years. He taught and supervised UBC doctoral students in relationship therapy and he currently teaches a CPA accredited seminar on couples therapy
to psychologists and other health professionals. He helps couples develop the tools to identify and effectively respond to their specific fears of intimacy so they can be open, empathic and participate in meaningful communication. He encourages couples to
define their relationship goals and he then helps them reach these goals. His new program for relationship enhancement, If You Really Loved Me You Could Read My Mind, is now available at www.lovingrelationships.ca.

Self-Worth
Enhancement
As a result of working for years
with bright, capable people who doubt their abilities, sabotage themselves, and generally under value themselves,
Dr. Cochrane developed the The Self-Worth Odyssey which is now available on line at www.self-worthodyssey.com.
This new program gives clients the creative tools to enhance their felt sense of worth.
Subsequently, they will do better in their career, education and relationships. They will also take better care of their
personal health because people who value themselves take care of themselves. Dr. Cochrane works with clients who want to strengthen their self-worth and self-efficacy so they are better able to lose weight and take better care of their overall health.

Anxiety
Reduction
Dr. Cochrane has worked with many clients who suffer from one or more of the DSM-1V-TR anxiety
disorders. He shapes the therapy process to the specifics of each case while helping each client build a greater
sense of personal control over his or her anxiety-generating mental images.

Posttraumatic Stress
Disorder
Dr. Cochrane has worked with many PTSD clients, has conducted assessments using the MMPI-2, has written
legal reports and has provided consultation and expert testimony for law firms in this and other realms. In 2006 his paper on PTSD and the
Law was published in the law journal, The Litigator. Traumatizing circumstances
include motor vehicle accidents, firefighting, police work, assaults and other potentially life-threatening situations.

Performance
Enhancement
Clients
who seek our help in this realm include athletes, students, actors and
writers. They want imagery tools for self-confidence, greater creativity and the refinement of their concentration and
and rehearsal skills.

Depression
Dr. Cochrane works closely with the depressed client's referring physician. He designs his therapy
program around the depth of the client's depression and the life circumstances that contribute to
the client's depression.

Sports Psychology
Dr. Cochrane has provided help for self-confidence, performance rehearsal and concentration with professional
and amateur athletes in a wide range of sports for many years. He has been a guest on CTV where he discusses
