Gordon
Cochrane: Biography
Gordon Cochrane
is a Registered Clinical Psychologist. He is a member of the Health
Service Providers in Psychology in Canada and he holds a certificate
of Professional Qualification in Psychology (CPQ) in the United
States.
Dr. Cochrane's
25 years of experience working with individuals and couples confirmed
his belief that our sense of worth greatly influences our key decisions
in life. He subsequently recognized the importance of teaching people
how to strenghthen their sense of self-worth at a feeling level
as well as at the more familiar rational and behavioral levels.
With the goals of self-worth enhancement and personal fulfillment
in mind, Dr. Cochrane has devoted many years to the development
of his self-worth series.
As well as conducting
a busy practice, he regularily teaches psychology theory and practice
to psychologists, physicians and other health professionals. He
also provides psychological reports and expert testimony in court
cases. He is frequently called upon to provide psychological assessments
for law firms and professional colleges.
In addition
to The Self-Worth Series, he has published a number
of papers in professional journals such as The Journal of
Consulting and Clinical Psychology, The American Journal
of Clinical Hypnosis and the medical journal, Diagnosis.
His work has been cited in The Harvard Guide to Psychiatry,
3rd Edition and the APA Handbook of Clinical Hypnosis.
His paper, Psychology, Expert Testimony and the Law
was published in The Washington State Bar Review in
2001. He frequently speaks to public and professional groups on
self-worth, relationships, personal change and personal success.
Gordon and Sharon Cochrane are partners in Cochrane Psychological
